III Open Day at the facilities of the Camino de Hormigueras, attended by workers and families in order to promote wellness at work and a healthy lifestyle. The Madrid branch of FCC Medio Ambiente held its third Open Day at the company’s facilities on the Ca- mino de Hormigueras. The meeting was attended by workers and their families from the street cleaning ser- vices, maintenance and upkeep of green areas, furniture and networks of the Madrid zone 5 joint venture and the Madrid zone 6 joint venture. The influx was massive, with almost 1,400 adults and 600 children, which, together with the various activities ai- med at children and adults, contribu- ted to the success of the day. FCCMedio Ambiente organises the 3rd Open Day at its Madrid office and park and garden conservation vehicles, which delighted everyone and gave both young and old the chance to climb into the cabins of the different vehicles on display and visit the workshop and the paint booth. To brighten up the day there were different flamenco performances, a pop-rock concert, rumbas and sevi- llanas, as well as inflatable castles, human table football, swimming pool, dog exhibition (with the collaboration of the association Dame la pata), chess workshop (with the collabora- tion of Ajedrez Las Dos Torres) and many others. With the implementation of the Healthy Company Management System, there are numerous actions and programmes carried out by the different branches of the company, which are related to well-being at work and family-work conciliation, and family workdays are one of the most representative samples. Also present at the conference were authorities from Madrid City Council, such as Beatriz San Gabino, director general of Water and Green Zones; Víctor Sarabia, director general of Street Cleaning and Waste, and Car- los Rubio, deputy director general of street cleaning, as well as several members of the national and Madrid executives of the UGT and CCOO trade unions. Promote social and family welfare The various activities organized for this day were focused on caring for the environment, road safety (with the collaboration of Fundación Ma- pfre and Sinapsis) and promoting physical activity. There was also the presence of Bomberos Unidos Sin Fronteras (United Firefighters Without Borders), who held first aid workshops and helped to combat the high temperatures of the day. Photographic exhibition Attendees were also able to enjoy a photographic exhibition showing the evolution of the services provided by FCC from 1900 to the present day and an exhibition of street cleaning P E O P L E S 26 P E O P L E S
