FCC Construcción obtains the new ISO 45001:2018 standard certificate FCC Construcción has obtained certification in the international standard ISO 45001: 2018 “Occu- pational Health and Safety Mana- gement Systems-Requirements with guidance for use” after suc- cessfully passing the audits carried out by the certifying company SGS. FCC Construcción is thus among the first companies in Spain to ob- tain the new international accredi- tation in the field of occupational health and safety. ISO 45001:2018 specifies the criteria and requirements for an Occupatio- nal Health and Safety Management System, enabling companies and organisations to offer their workers and stakeholders safe and healthy working conditions, including proper management of well-being at work. Obtaining ISO 45001 guarantees that FCC Construcción has imple- mented the best practices in occu- pational health and safety, minimi- sing occupational risks with effective prevention measures, developing a preventive culture and protecting the health and safety of workers, all under the leadership and commit- ment of the company’s management together with the consultation and participation of workers. FCC Construcción integrates pre- vention throughout the company’s structure. With the leadership of the management, the joint prevention service and the collaboration of all those involved, the culture of pre- vention has been made part of the company’s management.
