To mark the end of the summer and the start of the new academic year, we encourage you to check your health on a regular basis as a way to improve the quality of life and control the incidence of risk factors that may affect it in the workplace. For FCC, caring and protecting workers’ health is essential. This is underscored by the fact that the company has its own Medical Department in Ma- drid which offer employees the possibility of having a specific and individualised medical check-up or examination. These services are provided based on the doctors’ criteria and according to the job position. The objective is to assess, control and monitor and to evaluate, control and monitor the state of health. The Medical Department provides services on a daily basis to employees from all business areas. Its facilities include several general medicine and traumatology consultations, an X-ray room, an operating room, a rehabilitation room and a labo- ratory. In addition to medical examinations adapted to the different activities, actions are carried out to pro- mote health in the face of risk factors such as car- diovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension, etc. and to encourage self-care and healthy eating and physical activity habits.
