The calculation year for inclusion in the registration and obtaining the seal has been 2017. FCC Construc- FCC Construcción obtains the registry of the Carbon Footprint, Offset and Absorption Project register of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition The company has registered its carbon footprints from 2012 to 2017 in the Carbon Footprint, Offset and Absorption Projects register, created in 2014 by the Ministry for the Ecolo- gical Transition. ción has reduced its average emis- sion intensity by 26.1% in the trien- nium 2015-2017, compared to the triennium 2014-2016. Additionally, for the carbon footprints of 2015, 2016 and 2017, we have obtained the “calculate and reduce” stamp, which, in addition to recog- nizing the implication and the fact of being able to quantify and verify our emissions of greenhouse gases, distinguishes to the company as one of the organizations that reduce their carbon footprint effectively. A few weeks ago, the Company also published the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report 2017. FCC Cons- trucción materialized its commitment in 2010, with the design and imple- mentation of a protocol for the quan- tification of greenhouse gas emis- sions in construction processes. Pioneer Since then, the Company prepares and verifies its Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report on an annual basis and is the first Spanish construction company to have the AENOR certi- fication and since 2012 its Carbon Footprint Certificate has been awar- ded the “Verified Environment CO2 Certificate”. In 2012, this initiative re- ceived an honourable mention in the category “Management for sustaina- ble development” of the European Environment Awards, granted by the Entorno Foundation.
