The company’s initiative is part of the campaign “Books, to factories” to promote reading, developed by the Foundation Anastasio de Gracia-FI- TEL, UGT-FICA and the Ministry of Culture and Sport. This edition will bring reading closer to 1,400 workers from 14 production centres in the construction, chemi- cal, metallurgical and agri-food sec- tors in Andalusia, Aragon, Castile-La Mancha, Castile-Leon, Catalonia, Extremadura and Madrid. Aqualia promotes the habit of reading amongst its employees in collaboration with the Anastasio de Gracia-FITEL Foundation, UGT-FICA and the Ministry of Culture and Sport A literary colloquium with the wri- ter, journalist and coach Maria Paz Ruiz who has presented her book “Sex, wine and travel. Chronicles” was organized at the Company’s facilities in Madrid. The meeting is part of the campaign “Books, to factories” organized by the Foundation Anastasio de Gracia-FI- TEL, which collaborates UGT-FICA and has the sponsorship of the Mi- nistry of Culture and Sport. Carmen Rodríguez, director of Peo- ple at Aqualia, presented the event, indicating the reasons why Aqua- lia supports this campaign to en- courage reading in the workplace: “reading makes us freer and better people, and that is why Aqualia su- pports this project”. Through its “Be Aqualia” pro- gramme, the company develops a wide range of initiatives aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and the well-being of its employees. In this case, it has been chosen to co- llaborate with this initiative to pro- mote the habit of reading among Aqualia’s team.
